Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles breaks silence on quitting rumours

After a staggering 25 years, Samantha Giles of Emmerdale has finally spoken out about rumors that she is leaving the ITV soap opera.

One of the show’s main characters has remained the 52-year-old actress since she joined the cast as The Woolpack’s new barmaid in 1998. However, on Friday she revealed a secondary business she runs outside of the made-up Yorkshire community of Emmerdale.

Samantha revealed that she is a “witch” and that she sells a number of spells to assist individuals realize their goals in life to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary of This Morning.

Samantha added: “You must do it yourself, that is where the power comes from.” Samantha said each “charm and spell” comes with a complete set of instructions. She said that you “have to do the practical stuff as well” and that each spell is “for good” rather than evil.

She went on to say: “It’s no good just waiting for things to come to you, you have to manifest them” .

When the topic of Samantha’s future came up, she revealed that she will be portraying the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella this holiday season at the Bradford Alhambra theatre. Then she responded to speculation that she is leaving Emmerdale.

Samantha said that she will no longer be known as Bernice, at least for the time being, adding that she “hasn’t been allowed to confirm this until now.”
